The Surgery is open from Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm. The medical team are available for consultation, by appointment, as follows:
Surgery Clinic Times on Monday – Friday
9.30 am – 12 noon
3.00 pm – 5.00 pm
In order to reduce the waiting time for patients, all surgery consultations are by appointment only. Patients are requested to phone for an appointment before coming to the surgery. (Urgent patients will be given priority.)
Please phone 091 844489 to make a surgery appointment. Phones are answered between 9am and 5pm with the exception of 2pm-2.30pm.
Every effort will be made to see patients at their appointed time. Urgent cases are always seen as soon as reasonably possible. We offer an urgent care clinic specifically to deal with single urgent medical problems that need to be dealt with daily.
Patients are requested to inform reception if they are unable to keep an appointment so that others may be facilitated. Repeated missed appointments will result in a fee been charged.
On arrival at our clinic for your appointment, you can save time queuing at our reception by using our automated touch screen check in service.
The terminal is located on your left hand side as you enter through the main door of our clinic. It will ask you to enter your name and date of birth and then prompt you to carry out a few easy steps.
On completion you may take a seat in our main foyer and await further instruction from our staff.
For anyone with difficulty using this service, you may still check in at our reception.
House calls are exclusively for those who are too ill or infirm to travel to the surgery as most medical problems are best dealt with in the clinic. In general, ill children may be safely transported to the surgery (they will be attended to with utmost importance). If you are unsure if a house call is required, please phone and speak to one of the Medical Team who can advise you further. Requests for house calls should be made, where possible, before 12 noon daily Monday to Friday.
We are committed to providing an efficient and professional service to our patients, and this includes providing 24-hour cover for medical emergencies. This service is provided by Westdoc. In case of urgency outside surgery hours, phone Westdoc at 1850 365 000. You will have an opportunity to discuss your medical problem with a specially trained nurse or an on-call doctor. If necessary, an appointment will be made for you to see a doctor at the local Westdoc treatment centre in Craughwell.
